T-Mobile BlackBerry 8520 for $249 - No Contract (listed as coming soon)

T-Mobile is rolling out something they call T-Mobile complete. It's essentially phones that don't suck bundled with a month of service for one low price. Until now the offer has been limited to Best Buy and recently the T-Mobile web site.

I just noticed that Amazon (not in stock yet - but showing 1 to 3 week deliver) will soon be offering the 8520 for $249 which presumably includes the first month of service free ($80 value). After the initial month there's no further commitment.

The pricing is about $80 cheaper than what I could find for a similar (albeit unlocked) 8520 on Amazon.

T-Mobile 12% off for AAA members - no new contract required

Called T-Mobile regular customer services and person who answered confirmed there is a 12% AAA discount (without even mentioning the advert, just asking if there was a AAA member discount). I then got put through to "migration services" and spoke to the person there. Gave my T-Mobile account details, AAA card number and the advert promotion code (bottom right of the newsletter) TM/6531/09.

The represeantiave said it would take 30-45 days to verify with AAA that I am a member then the monthly discount should appear on my T-Mobile bill as an "adjustment". I didn't have to sign up for a new 1 or 2 year contract and I was cautioned it would run for as long as AAA were doing the promotion with T-Mobile.
