MAS 90 or MAS 200 v4.4 should be arriving soon

Just a quick note that Sage is shipping version 4.4 of MAS 90 / 200 to users enrolled in a Basic Software Maintenance agreement.

I'll be in touch shortly to discuss your plans and options for upgrading.

For anyone using enhancements from Sage - remember that Sage has stopped separately maintaining their Extended Solutions catalog - instead choosing to incorporate 56 of their most popular enhancements ( http://bit.ly/91OFBx ) into future releases and to convert the remainder of Extended Solutions to open sourced program code that a developer must upgrade prior to migrating v4.4.

For almost everyone I'm recommending we wait to gather feedback from other sites prior to installing the upgrade.

I don't expect problems (and so far the early reports on ease-of-upgrade have been very encouraging) however I tend to take a very conservative approach with upgrades.

In the meantime Sage has a page that lists the major enhancements to this version. Primarily they're upgrading Inventory, Bill of Materials and Purchase Order. Within version 4.4 Accounts Receivable customer numbers can be expanded to 20 characters in size and the Inventory Item numbers can grow from 15 to 30 characters.
