LinkedIN adds ability to follow contacts - receive email alerts when they post messages in groups
How do I follow a fellow group member?
You are automatically set to follow any connections' contributions within groups you share. However, you may also want to follow valued professional members in your groups who are not 1st degree connections. You can begin following the contributions made to a shared group by a fellow group member from several areas:
- From any discussion or news discussion page within the group, click on the 'Follow Member Name' link under the person's name (e.g., the link appears as 'Follow Jonathan' or 'Follow Elizabeth').
- From any discussion or news discussion page within the group, click on the 'See all Member Name's activity' link under the person's name, then click 'Follow' at the top right of the subsequent group-specific 'Activity' page for the user.
- Go to the group, click the 'More' tab and select 'Members,' then click on 'Follow Member Name' under the person's name.
- By clicking the 'Follow' link under a fellow group member's name on someone's group-filtered Followers page, reached by clicking the number of followers shown by their name on the Members page or a news discussion page.
- By clicking the 'Follow' link under a fellow group member's name on someone's group-filtered 'People I'm Following' page, reached by clicking the 'People Member Name is following' link on the group-specific 'Activity' page for the user.
- By clicking the link in a followed discussion email update.
